The UT Tower will turn orange and shine with “20” on its southern side tonight as the Class of 2020 gathers together for the first time.

The Tower lighting welcomes incoming students to the Forty Acres on the night before classes start.

The Tower lighting will begin during Gone to Texas — an important rite of passage welcoming the newest members of the Longhorn community — and will last through the night.

Along with Mooov-In, Horns Up Night and Party on the Plaza, Gone to Texas is part of Longhorn Welcome, a series of events for students at the start of a new academic year.
