The UT Tower will be drenched in burnt orange lighting Wednesday, April 26 in recognition of The University of Texas women’s golf team title this past Sunday at the Big 12 Championship.

Per UT tradition, the UT Tower is bathed in burnt orange lighting from top-to-bottom when a University of Texas athletics team wins a conference championship.

The No. 22 Longhorns fired a three-round total of 21-over-par 885 to win the league championship by seven strokes over second-place Iowa State (892). This marked UT’s first Big 12 Championship in women’s golf since 2011.

The Longhorns have won a total of four Big 12 team titles (1997, 2004, 2011 and 2017) and 13 overall conference championships (1987-91, 1993-97, 2004, 2011 and 2017).
