The UT Austin Tower will turn orange and shine with the number “5” on its sides in celebration of Longhorn Network’s fifth anniversary Friday, August 26.

Longhorn Network (LHN), ESPN’s 24-hour television network devoted to all things UT Austin, launched August 26, 2011. In the last five years, LHN has televised more than 900 Texas sporting events and covered the school’s 82 NCAA tournament appearances, 37 conference titles, four football bowl game appearances and four National Championships.

And the network’s programming includes more than sporting events, as LHN brings the flavor of the Forty Acres and Austin to fans nationwide with music, food, culture and academic programming all year long.
