UT Football players celebrating.

The UT Tower will shine with burnt-orange lights Wednesday, December 27 to celebrate Texas Football’s 33-16 win over the Missouri Tigers in the 2017 Academy Sports + Outdoors Texas Bowl.

The lighting marks the seventh time this season Texas Football turned the Tower orange with a win. The top of the Tower turns orange to celebrate regular-season victories as part of UT tradition, and the team finished with an overall 7-6 record.

The victory marked the 54th all-time bowl appearance for the Longhorns, second-most in the nation. Texas Football now owns a record of 28-24-2 all-time in bowl games.
