The UT Tower will shine with burnt-orange lights Tuesday, August 25 to welcome new students to the UT community. And as a special welcome to the Class of 2024, the Tower will display “24” on its sides.
The Tower will turn orange during the Gone to Texas celebration as the Class of 2024 gathers online for the first time.
Held each year the evening before classes begin, Gone to Texas kicks off the academic year with a brilliant showcase of the university’s spirit and traditions. The unique celebration shows new students what it means to be a Longhorn and formally marks their arrival as the newest members of The University of Texas community.
