UT Tower shines with burnt orange lights and "20" on its side

The UT will shine with burnt orange lights and “20” on its sides for two nights in a row to celebrate the accomplishments of our December 2020 degree candidates.

The Tower will first shine with a burnt orange top on Saturday, December 5 to celebrate Texas Football’s 69-31 win over Kansas State earlier in the day. Then, at 8 p.m., the Tower will change lighting configurations to honor the 2020 graduates. Continuing to celebrate this year’s graduates, the Tower will again be drenched in burnt orange lights and “20” on its sides on Sunday, December 6.

The special Tower lighting may look familiar to many of this year’s graduates. When the Class of 2020 arrived on the Forty Acres in 2016, the Tower displayed the same configuration to welcome the incoming students.
