Members of the Texas track and field teams pose for a celebratory picture while holding trophies, waving signs and wearing clothes that all show they won the Big 12 Championships.

The UT Tower will shine with burnt orange lights Tuesday, March 1 to celebrate the Texas men’s and women’s track and field teams sweeping the Big 12 Indoor Championships for the second year in a row.

The Tower will briefly turn to it’s entirely orange lighting configuration during the evening as the two teams gather to take a picture in front of the Tower. When the team photo is complete around 8 p.m., the Tower will return to it entirely-white lighting configuration, but the south face will remain darkened as the university prepares for a community celebration later in the week.

The No. 1 ranked women’s team scored points to take its fifth-straight indoor title. The Longhorns claimed three event wins on the final day of competition in the 200m, 400m, 600yard and 800m, including sweeps in the 200m and the 400m.

The No. 3 men’s team won its second-straight indoor title scoring 171 points after winning five events.
