Light the Tower: Texas Soccer Wins First SEC Tournament Championship
Texas wins back-to-back postseason conference tournaments for second time in program history
The UT Tower will shine with burnt orange lights Tuesday, November 12, 2024, in honor of Texas Soccer winning the SEC Tournament Championship.
The No. 21 Longhorns’ 1-0 win over No. 14 South Carolina to claim the title also gave the Texas athletic department its first SEC Championship since the institution joined the league on July 1, 2024.
An earlier Tower lighting celebrated the team’s title on the day of the match. Tonight’s lighting will happen while the team gathers at the Tower for a group picture.
Per University tradition, the campus landmark is bathed in orange when a Texas athletics team wins a conference championship.
