Celebrating Texas Men’s Tennis, 2025 SEC Tournament and Conference Champions

The UT Tower will shine burnt orange lights on Tuesday, April 22, to commemorate Texas Men’s Tennis’ 2025 Southeastern Conference regular season and tournament championships. Per tradition, the University recognizes UT sports programs that win a conference team championship with an all burnt orange lighting of the campus landmark.
Fans are encouraged to arrive in front of the Littlefield Fountain on 21st Street at 8:20 p.m. CT to watch the team take their photo.
In their debut season in the SEC, the No. 3 Longhorns (25-4) captured the outright regular-season title with a 13-1 record in league play. Texas has won at least a share of their conference title in five of the last six years (2019, 2021, 2023, 2024, 2025) and claimed it outright in four of those (2019, 2023, 2024, 2025), discounting 2020 when the conference schedule was not played due to the pandemic.
In winning the SEC Championship title on Sunday, it marked back-to-back conference tournament titles for Texas, and the seventh in program history. It was also the sixth time, including back-to-back years, the program has won both the tournament and regular season championships, as the Longhorns closed their time in the Big 12 by winning both last year.
After receiving the SEC’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, the Longhorns will await the NCAA selection show to determine their seeding and hosting, which would tentatively be planned for May 3-4 at the Texas Tennis Center. The selection show will air on NCAA.com on Monday, April 28, at 4:30 p.m. CT.
