The UT Tower will shine with a burnt orange top Tuesday, March 29 to celebrate former Longhorn Scottie Scheffler’s victory at the 2022 World Golf Championship – Dell Technologies Match Play on Sunday. With this win, Scheffler became the highest ranked golfer in the world. This is Scheffler’s third title in his last five starts, a remarkable run of form that includes his first career PGA TOUR victory and becoming the sixth-youngest player to become the world’s No. 1.

Scheffler, 25, turned pro in the summer of 2018 following his graduation from The University of Texas. He earned the Korn Ferry Tour’s Player of the Year in 2019 and claimed the PGA TOUR’s Rookie of the Year Award in 2020.
