The UT Tower will shine with burnt orange lights on Monday, May 12, to celebrate No. 2 Texas Rowing winning the 2025 Southeastern Conference Championship as the team gathers at to take their photo in front of the Tower this evening.

This is the team’s 10th consecutive conference title and its first SEC championship. The victory clinches Texas’ 14th overall conference crown as the Longhorns placed first out of four teams in the inaugural SEC Rowing Championship (No. 2 Texas, No. 4 Tennessee, No. 24 Oklahoma and Alabama). Texas totaled 83 points to edge out second-place Tennessee, who accumulated 78 points. Alabama finished third with 35 points and Oklahoma placed fourth with 34 points. The Longhorns won three of six races and netted three runner-up finishes, posting a top-two finish in every race.

Up next, Texas heads to the 2025 NCAA Championships on May 30-June 1 at Mercer Lake in West Windsor, N.J. The Longhorns are vying for their fourth NCAA Championship in the last five seasons.
