The UT Tower will shine with burnt orange lights on Wednesday, June 1 in celebration of the Texas Men’s Golf team winning the NCAA Match Play Championship.

This marked UT’s fourth appearance in the NCAA Championship match since the NCAA adopted the current match-play format in 2009. Texas previously made NCAA Match Play Championship appearances in 2012 (beat Alabama, 3-2), 2016 (lost to Oregon, 3-2) and 2019 (lost to Stanford, 3-2). Texas has won three other NCAA team championships in men’s golf (1971, 1972 and 2012).
