The UT Tower will shine with burnt orange lights Friday, May 15 to honor recipients of the President’s Staff Awards.

The President’s Staff Awards formally recognizes staff of The University of Texas at Austin in four categories:

Staff Service Awards

The University of Texas at Austin Staff Service Awards Program recognizes the importance of the contributions of loyal and committed staff to the continuing success of the university. Recognition is based on length of service.

The 2020 recipient list contains over 800 employees with 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, and 50 years of service with the university.

Outstanding Staff Awards

The University of Texas at Austin Outstanding Staff Awards program honors and recognizes the invaluable contributions of outstanding staff members who have had a significant impact on the university.

Outstanding Supervisor Awards

The University of Texas at Austin Outstanding Supervisor Awards program honors and recognizes the invaluable contributions of outstanding supervisors who have had a significant impact on the university.

Student Employee of the Year Award

The President’s Student Employee of the Year program honors and recognizes student employees who have made a unique contribution to the university and have demonstrated exceptional reliability, quality of work, initiative, and professionalism.

The recipient of The University of Texas at Austin 2020 President’s Student Employee of the Year Award is senior Lillian Ford. Ford is a Supply Chain Management Major in the McCombs School of Business and facilitates safety education programming in the Office of the Dean of Students at UT Austin.

In addition, the following 10 students were selected as Finalists in the 2019-2020 competition: Alejandra Nitsch, School of Nursing; Beena Lad, Office of Sustainability; Elizabeth Ennega, Texas Global; Katya Ehresman, Annette Strauss Institute for Civic Life; Maggie Chapman, Office of the Dean of Students; Marcus Sloan, University Housing and Dining; Nathan Ha, Recreational Sports; Norma Perez Duran, University Development; Sabrina Leboeuf, School of Journalism; and, Sydney Chapa, Recreational Sports.
